Cardinals vs. Reds, 5/1/10

Enjoy the spectacular views from section 428 of beautiful Busch Stadium, home of our beloved Saint Louis Cardinals!

The beauty of all three stadiums the Saint Louis Cardinals have called home (classic Sportsman's Park/Busch Stadium I, cookie cutter and astroturf-laden Busch Stadium II, and modern-retro Busch Stadium III above) is where each stadium focuses your attention.  If you think it's boring, I'm not afraid to tell you you are not a true baseball fan - Saint Louis ballparks showcase the game we love in a smooth and gorgeous simplicity.  The focus is baseball, not the entertainment that attempts to satisfy casual fans of the game.  Midwestern practicality? Maybe.  And we love it.

Albert Pujols, first base, Saint Louis Cardinals, 2009 National League Most Valuable Player.

Ryan Ludwick, outfield, Saint Louis Cardinals.

Kyle Lohse, starting pitcher, Saint Louis Cardinals.

Busch Stadium III opens to a panoramic view of the Saint Louis skyline.  The Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse can be seen from seats located closer to home plate.

Second baseman Skip Schumaker at the plate.

Outfielder Ryan Ludwick.

First baseman Albert Pujols.

Outfielder Matt Holliday at the plate.

Outfielder Colby Rasmus and his trademark batting motion.

Third baseman David Freese.

Relief pitcher Blake Hawksworth following through his delivery.

You cannot ask for a better day for a ballgame - or a better outcome!  The Redbirds won a very exciting 6-3 game against an NL Central foe, the Cincinnati Reds.  GO CARDS!
